I posted a link on this subject on the Viva bulletin board and thought it might be worth posting here. Don't want to alarm anyone unecessarily or "rain on anyone's picnic", but this is an artilce written recently in a Mexican publication by a Mexican journalist and worth reading what he has to say about the current violence in Mexico

It is from 'Mexico News and Opinion', Mexican news story translated into English. Title "Is Mexico Moving Toward a State of Failure?". This is not an American journalist or US State Department warnings, but a coming from a Mexican source.

I am sure things are still peaceful and quiet in San Carlos and the surrounding areas, but for those of us who have chosen (or may) to live and even work in Mexico in the future, worth reading this. This is nothing new, but rather a Mexican perspective on a familiar topic 

 I am not suggesting that there will be gun battle and kidnappings in San Carlos, but the author raises some important issues and seems to have his facts and statistics in order. Here is the link to the article:
