I have a magicjack that was ordered via their website online. I don't believe they can be contacted by phone, ironically. If you are able, go to their site and work your way through the "30-day free trial" screens to order. BTW: I tried using it to/from Mexico without success. However, you can use it internationally by paying a per minute charge. As advertised, I have called throughout the US without problem. Let me know if I can help in any other way.

We have friends in Manzanillo, Colima who are using it successfully, so it will function in Mexico - you do need a DSL or other high speed connection.

The web site does have a clickable link that allegedly takes you to a live person:

Thanks so much.  I have tried the live person going through every which way and it just does not take you to anyone that even resembles a breathing individual. I will go to the Computer Club tomorrow here in SC.  Muchas gracias.

MagicJack 800 214-9512, It works perfect in Mexico. I used it last time I was in SC to call back to the states, no charge.  I bought Int' minutes for minutes to call in Mexico.  You can buy $10 at a time.  It is $19.95/year, but if you buy 4 years for $60, that is only $15.  If you call anyone with MJ there is no charge no matter where you are.

That doesn't make sense Sandman...you bought international minutes, but it didn't cost you a thing. It's n/c in US /CAN, and you can purchase time to call internationally, like you said. You can look on their site to see the different per minute charges for those calls.

When I call Mexico from Home I need the Int'l minutes, and if  I call anyone in Mexico when in Mexico, that does not have MJ I need Int'l minutes, ie; call to someones cell phone in SC.   Calling in Us/Canada is free and when you call back to US from Mexico it is no charge.

When ordering you need a US Address to send the MJ to.  When you receive it and register you pick an Area Code you want and they give you a phone #. The Charge for the unit is $19.95/yr, or 4 years for $60. My first year and the unit came to approx. $49.

Remember, the unit has a usb on one end and a phone jack on the other end, it works when you have your computer on, unlike Vonage that works independently, but is this much cheaper.  It has V/M, call waiting, call forwarding, etc.  If your computer is off you still get messages.  You can listen to your messages on your computer, notification comes via your email.

One more question, what are the area codes that one can have in the USA, is 520 in it?  Once more thanks for your help I spent a couple of hours on "the live person" part of their website!

Would you believe that 800 will not take the info either?

Has anyone been able to get a live person?  Thanks
