It looks like that letter from a Bravenet "exec" might have been authentic. Has anyone else been able to get on the Viva board?

Which link is that? When I click on the "What'sNew Board", I get the same Bravenet message saying this board is kaput. This is off of vivasancarlos.com.

There has been a problem with one person who for some reason does not like Alecs and who cannot get his board up and running because of his terrible slandering of people. I have sent an email to bravenet at the address listed by someone and received a response that they are in contact with the webmaster.
As this person is slandering and defaming many persons living here, I do not think that he will be in San Carlos much longer.
Alecs started vivasancarlos many years ago and it was our newspaper and contact with San Carlos. It is a shame that one sick/and or jealous person can cause his board to go down. I think all of us should try to support Alecs and send emails to bravenet telling them about the problem.
I am sure that Bart our other webmaster on this great website will agree

I agree with your assessment of the most recent situation that caused Bravenet to take action.
But that board was becoming a cesspool well before the formation of that other board. Many of the best posters from past years just stopped going there and the result was a drop in info. Sure, it was easy to avoid MOST of the personal drivel, but it turned alot of people off. I feel Alecs bears a fair amount or responsibility for not policing the board better.
Looks like little has changed. I can get into the new board now.
BTW, has Mel and Sal met for a knife fight On The Waterfront yet? LOL!

I also wrote Bravenet about the guy doing this. I informed them of the two boards that he first ran thru Bravenet that they themselves shut down for slander etc.
They got back to me and said they are looking into everything and in touch with Alecs.
I also agree with Hook that the board has been on teh way dopwn for some time now but alot of that was due to this same guy when he was able to post there, which he did under many names and IP's.
Thank God that Bart runs a clean board so we can get info. I have even seen disagreements here. The difference being those disagreeing did it with respect...imagine that people acting like adults!

I think all of us should contact Bravenet and stand up for Alecs. We all know that he did not send porn to anyone. It is all lies from the person on the other board.
I have sent a number of letters today to Bravenet and will continue to do so until I here back from them.
The person that runs the other board complained to Bravenet that Alecs was sending porn thru the site. WE all know it is lies from this guy cuz he was banned here for disrupting the board.
Suggest that we all email Bravenet

I am curious why you seem to be so deeply involved in this "other board problem"
There are many distastful subjects on the internet. Just don't go there.

Just like it did again today saying that I was the one responsible for the viva board being shut down and that I apologize for doing it and sending porn to people. All lies!!!!

I think it is sad that Alec got shut down, but I also think it is sad that he sensored the trueth many times, because he didn't want to get into it with the sisters. If you can not post the trueth, then what is there? Just sweet sayings, and wonderful sugarcoated ???????????

It will if Alecs lets it. There are crackpots everywhere on the internet. You just need to stay on top of them.

Hope that clarifies the reference, his antics are well known and documented.
