Yes it does-know some boats who have Direc TV on board. Think it is only usable at the dock because the antennas are mounted to the dock, not the boat.

hdtv works here with a 3 dish system instead of 5 lmbs Chava has set this up on a couple of friends homes you need one big dish 1.2 meters if think and two 36 " dishes and a spliter that puts all three signals into one

thanks, just me. That system you describe sounds like the older DTV HDTV system that will not pick up the new mp4 video streams from the new satellites they sent up. DTV is up to over 70 HD channels but I have heard that you must upgrade to a dish with 5 LNBs..........possibly the newer receiver, too. I have read comments from some of the original HD subscribers that they arent getting all the new HD channels.
I think it can all be accomplished with a single dish UP HERE IN THE STATES now, too.
But I am no expert.............just what I have been reading.

| If my direct tv subscription is in Seattle, will it work in San Carlos? Sounds like most of the advice is for Arizona and CA subscribers.

| I have a 20" dish with Direct TV LA, (RV) Dom tells me that the dish isn't big enough, do I have any options, maybe rent a bigger dish at a reasonable price in SC??? Last edited on Sat Aug 9th, 2008 06:56 am by alexpinca
