Presumably Callwithus would be dialing back to you on an international line.
Or, is there a local Callwithus line in Sonora and/or Mexico?
Telcel does not charge you for the incomming call as long as you are in your local calling area (otherwise you get roaming). They DO charge the caller, which is why it is a lot more expensive to place a call to a Mexican cell than to a regular land line.

gotcha.
Well, it sounds like all of this can be done reasonably cheaply.
Thanks again folks!

All good information in your post, but I have to point out that your numbers are off on calls to the US. $1.50 for 30 min would be $.05/min, which isn't accurate. The rates for a call to the US are more like $.30/min, which would be $9 for a 30 min call.
Nope, not with the Movistar plan I use. For Mexico to US calls, it is 5.50 pesos per minutes for the first 2 minutes, or 11.50 pesos up to 30 minutes. I've done it lots of times. The following link is the best writeup I've seen,

I use the Movistar Pagamenos.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. I've always used telcel amigo when I'm down there, but I may have to switch to Movistar. I wonder how much I would lose in terms of coverage (Telcel is pretty good, really.)

Service in Vista Marina has been very good. It did take us 2 weeks to get the phone installed because the electrician did not want to touch the phone company wiring and the phone company got confused as to what was needed. Originally in VM phone numbers were reserved for each lot so your phone number would be 04xx where xx was your lot number. You might want to contact the phone company early if you desire this phone number. Also, I recommend that you switch your current land line to Vonage, switch your current land line number to Vonage, and simply bring the modem down with you thus having your current phone number ringing in SC. Vonage does not a service that allows 2 modems to have the same phone number.
