Hello fisherman and divers!

We have a rare opening for a 1/3 ownership share in the Cowabunga. This boat is a 1977 25 ft (251) Mako Center Console. We recently put a new outboard motor on her - Evinrude 2001, 250 Ficht Ram Injected, also replaced the starter last summer and the fuel tank a couple years ago. The new custom built aluminum trailer is paid for and on the way from Jupiter Fla.

There are some minor repairs needed to the front bimini shown in the attached photo.

The boat will be in San Carlos all summer during fishing season then possibly towed, fully insured,  to Phoenix and available for the lakes during the winter and early spring months. We have some fishing tackle that everyone can use - more will be needed. The hull on this boat in legendary, handles rough seas very well. Insurance for the boat and trailer when in the states is less than $400 per year.

According to NADA the motor is worth $12K the boat and new T-top; $5k.  You can own a 1/3rd share for $4,000.  We only have one share available so if you are interested, give me a call - it wont last long.  480-236-4900  Marc Jablonski marc@lifestrive.com

George Darling here. I owned a share of the Cowabunga II for the past 12 years. Dr. John Wenaas owned it since 1980. I'm ex Coast Guard. Was a navigator in the reserves. I saw first hand the perils of unprepared folks in boats. The Cowabunga had a new Evinrude FICT 250 installed in 2001. It was purchased from Marine Mart and maintained by Danny since new.

The Mako 251 is a great hull. We had a custom T-top installed and all maintenance was performed as my kids went fishing 40 miles out with me. It has a Garmin GPS and fish/depth finder. The boat has outriggers and has caught it's fair share of fish in the Cortez.

Florida hurricanes created the ability for me to purchase a boat with a head for my growing kids. When your daughter turns 12, telling the guys to turn their head while helping her go to the bathroom over the side keeps her at the beach.

I had to purchase a new trailer for the Tiara 2700, now known as the Cowabunga III. I ordered a new trailer for the Cowabunga, as the old steel one it's sitting on right now is ready for the scrap yard. It's a Continental alum with disc brakes. Everything is alum, stainless, or galvanized.

I would not hesitate to sell this boat to anyone. It's a simple, rugged, fishin/diving machine. Reminds me of an old landcruiser with all new parts.

George
